Born: Jan. 7, 1964 South East, Washington, District of Columbia Family: 2 Sons and 1 Daughter and married to F.Locklin-Hegens Career: Military United States Army Branch/ Fort Hood Texas Richard grew up listening to likes of some of the most famous flautist such as: Bobbi Humphrey, Hubert Laws, and Herbie Mann. Richard Hegens Jr.has recently returned from another overseas deployment (6th) to Iraq. While Richard was deployed, he continued to serve our country while still performing God's vision. He entertained Soldiers worldwide, touching them with the anointing sound and bringing souls closer to our Father in Heaven. The group T.A.O. originated in Killeen, Texas during the summer of 2007. They began working the first "T.A.O." project at the "Rising Son Studio" in Nolanville, this was their first recording of many projects to come. Now as a solo jazz gospel flautist, Richard's looking forward to performing throughout Texas, North Carolina, and anyplace God's anointing will take him.
