The Up All Nights are simply rock n roll as it once was and will be again. Epitomizing the genre with outlandish stage activity, more energy than perhaps any band on record, and the back stage song writing chops to back it up, the Nights conquer audiences and leave a positive vibe (also some bruises) behind in their wake. They play without a setlist, thriving on the improvisation, they play without effects pedals or fancy gadgets of the future, thriving on the old school. With all the booze and sweat flying it would be easy to imagine the music being base or stupid, but the grand trick of it all is that the music stays cerebral while its rocking your hips. Check their songs for numerous allusions to greek mythology, William Blake, Edgar Allen Poe, Emily Dickinson and others. Soulful, punked out, nearly mystical, this band delivers all the necessary ingredients. Sammy Dodge, Jack Dodge, and Yo-Yo: A brother band like no other band.
