Sick Boy, who originally drew his rap moniker from a bout with food poisoning in a county jail, is a Native American rapper, producer, songwriter, and engineer from San Antonio, TX. Although his style is compared to the likes of Eminem, Asher Roth, and Yelawolf, Sick Boy blends futuristic southern hip-hop beats with an East Coast delivery that is sometimes difficult to classify. His fusion of hip-hop, funk, and R&B, mixed with dazzling live performances have led him to open for a variety of artists spanning from Lil Flip to Digable Planets, and Lil Wayne. With a dedicated fan base that continues to grow, Sick Boy has garnered attention from such industry heavyweights as Shadyville Records, and was recently featured on the latest installment of Dj Green Lantern's Unsigned Inavasion mixtape series. Sick Boy's unparallelled work ethic, coupled with a genre blending ability to please hip-hop purists and new school fans alike, has earned him a reputation for quickly ascending past the competition. "The game is sick right now, and the only way to cure it is to be become the antidote." he now says concerning the meaning of his name. However infectious his music may be, Sick Boy is the remedy Hip-Hop has been looking for.
