- Born originally in Watts California, yung poppa moved to the west side of south central los angels. At a young age yung poppa was able to decipher between rich and poor… and unfortunately was on the losing side of those statistics. Yung poppa grew up listening to all types of music, from Madonna, the west side connection. run dmc, ect, so he always had a respect for the diversity in the art of music. At age 11 yung poppa touched a piano for the first time. Through long hours of practice, he learned to play almost an song on the radio, so that became one of his pet-pivs. Yung poppa always wanted to be an entertainer, but never considered rapping until his aunt Rochelle tried to sign him up for show time at the Apollo.

Yung Poppa is talented and when you hear him spit you might say he`s a good rapper but aside from being a dope lyricist he`s also a phenomenal producer that writes produces,arranges,mixes and masters all of his songs and thats why we like to refer to him as......."nOt JuS aNoThA rApPa"
