Bio:
"Passionate...intense....uninhibited..." These are just a few words that describe Theresa Noye. You only need to spend a few minutes with Theresa to see what she is about: lavishing love on God, creating memories with her family, and equipping others to love Him wholeheartedly. Her thirst for God is insatiable. She is committed to contending for the presence of God and helping others to encounter God. Theresa leads gatherings, regardless of size, into God's presence with conviction and reckless abandonment. “You Saw Me,” Theresa’s debut EP, is like a home-cooked meal with a radical twist. Theresa’s melodic tones draw you closer to God’s heart, and the effects are intensified as the message of God’s desire for us is heralded seamlessly through the words of each song. Her sound embodies the raw spontaneity of Kim Walker, combined with the velvety vocals of Anita Baker, tripled with the worshipful cross-cultural appeal of CeCe Winans. All of the songs on “You Saw Me” were written or co-written by Theresa during her personal worship time, drawing on her faith while navigating through her family’s journey of autism with their son, Regal. “You Saw Me” was produced by Stacey Harcum and recorded and mixed by Glenn Barrett (Morning Star Studios). Theresa grew up performing and touring with various children's theaters and dance companies in Brooklyn, NY. She attended New York City’s acclaimed La Guardia High School of the Arts and began attending an African-American Church known for its choirs in order to learn how to sing gospel. Although Theresa sang in the choir, she did not have a relationship with Jesus. During her freshman year in college, while performing with Hampton University’s Gospel Choir, Theresa met Jesus Christ. “It was one of the very first concerts of the semester, and when the pastor invited people to give their lives to Christ, practically the whole choir came forward, “she remembers. It was a life changing encounter. “I became a different person. I began living with recognition of my purpose: ‘to worship God and to enjoy him forever.’” Theresa soon discovered the joy of not only being in God’s presence, but also leading others into His presence. “I discovered the difference between ‘performing’ and ministering to the Lord, and I never wanted to ‘perform’ again. Theresa is a worship Leader at Fresh Anointing Christian Center. She also serves as Chapel Worship Team Advisor and Resident Director at Eastern University. She has a special love for college students that is quite evident and contagious. Theresa lives on Eastern’s beautiful campus in St. David's, PA with her wonderful husband Henry, Jesus lover and avid sports fan. They have two beautiful children, Regal and Nia.
