At the young ages of 2 and 4, Contemporary gospel singers, Tonita and Iralynn were born into the genre. They began singing together under the leadership of their parents, Mr. Glynell and Mrs. Nora L. Johnson. T & I spent their formative years surrounded by family, faith, and music.
T&I have participated in many church programs, talent shows, concerts, weddings, promotional events and various benefit programs. These two young women of God have also provided background vocals for many up-coming artists. In the past year T & I provided background vocals for the up-coming play called “A House Divided will fall,” and have participated in "Rebound" the Movie's Mix and Mingle fund raiser to raise awareness about the job market and help prevent foreclosure for a needy family and they have also participated in feeding the hungry of Atlanta with the Just Jesus Word of God Church family every fourth Sunday morning. These talented sisters just released their Cd in September of 2010 entitled, "Vessel" and have been nominated for the 2011 and 2012 Urban Inspirational Awards and are also nominated in three categories of the 2012 Prayze Factor People's Choice Awards in Atlanta, GA.
In addition to their musical career, T&I are also dedicated to their duties in their church. Tonita is a member Just Jesus Word of God Church where the Rev. Eric B. Walker presides as pastor. Tonita is also a Certified Medical Assistant and Iralynn is a Jewelry Maker, Artist and is studying to get her BA in Psychology. Iralynn is a member of Temple Grove Baptist Church where the Rev. J.W. Neely presides as pastor. Tonita is a happy newlywed and Iralynn has been married for 6 years and is a dedicated wife and mother to her husband and two young boys.
Although T&I include R&B flavored songs, hip-hop, and smooth ballads, in both contemporary and traditional settings, they never altered their message, and that is to do the will of God.

Love your work!!! What a couple of beautiful sisters who use there skilled vocal gifts to spread "The Word". I just love and consider myself a gospel singer as well. You two got it going on.
