Bio:: You know how you would see a person wearing a shirt that says “I AM HIP-HOP. Well that’s me. Since the first time I ever heard “Rappers Delight” I’ve had an unquenchable thirst for this music and culture. See back when I was a boy all my mom played was R and B and funk. On any given day the sounds of Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Prince, the O’jays, and earth wind and fire would be going throughout the house. I loved it. But when I heard my first rap song it was like the closest thing you would ever come to being addicted to something. I came along in a era, when you went to your local music store to find rap, it would be way in the back of the store and 9 times out of 10 if you asked the person at the register about a certain artist they would have a blank look on there face because it just wasn’t popular. Now Hip-hop with the help of rap music is everywhere and I’m proud to say I was one of the many who had a hand in its progress. I’ve always had fun making music and creating. If there is a pen and pad in my hand I may talk or write on everything from politics, to race relations, to money, to sex, and anything that I feel is valid. I wrote my first rhyme when I was about 9 or 10 and all these years later I still have the urge to write, entertain and just be that voice that hip-hop always has been. I take pride in saying I’m one of the last few real artist out there with the know how to just make good music. Back in the day we didn’t have “Super Producers” like we have today. The real talented rappers made there own back drops musically to deliver there rhymes. LL cool J, Run-D.M.C, and others put a lot of time and effort in making what they had to say come to life in there music. Now I’m not speaking down on artist who needs the help of beat makers but I do believe the best work comes from artist that makes their music from the ground up. I’m a lyricist. That’s what I do. I can make beats. I can perform and most importantly I have respect for our culture and genre. Although I like the level of success that a lot of artist attain I’m not too big on the music that’s made today. There is just not enough effort in what these labels are releasing but you won’t get anything less than good music from myself or anyone connected to me. This is a family business for me and we just want to share what our family does with the world to make it a better place. Hip-hop is the dominate culture now days. It’s done more for the world than anything or organization outside of the Lord himself, period. Where else can you find people of all races joining together, being peaceful and respecting each other. Hip-hop. The most beautiful thing in the world is to be at a rap show and just see a sea of all types of people just enjoying one another and the artist that’s performing. Hip-hop. I take pride in being positive and peaceful and you will hear that in the music that I create. One love, Jesse Mudde Letho.
