The Groove Nation invasion has begun. Born in New Orleans and raised in Denver, Mr. Groove continued to move west to Los Angeles, where he is gaining notoriety among hip hop circles for his strong lyrical content and smooth, resonating voice. Mr. Groove began his recording career in 1996 with his first song, “10 Paces”. Influenced by artists like Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Scarface, Biggie, Jay Z, and more, he went on to complete several projects including “Shake Em”, “The Chosen One” (street single), and Cooked Raw: Volume 1, between 2004 and 2006. In 2009, Mr. Groove completed Cooked Raw: Volume 2, weaving his experiences from his past into his lyrics to paint a vivid and compelling picture of life on the street. Most recently, in December 2010, he released “Rydah” (street single) which is to be released on iTunes. Bringing his west coast sound with a soulful twist from the south, Mr. Groove has opened for numerous artists including 50 Cent and GUnit, Eminem, Ludacriss, Snoop Dogg, and the Dogg Pound. His upcoming commercial project, Boss Muzik, set to be released in 2011, will bring more socially-conscious, experience-driven lyrics set to a collection of distinctive rhythms and beats that reflect the passion and fury of Mr. Groove.
