Hangin with Stogie was started by Christina Reese in March 2010. Christina Reese began performing at age 10 as the drummer and back up vocalist for the Pink Tomorrows. Later while still age 10, in the spring of 2010 the Pink Tomorrows transitioned into a project which would become Hangin with Stogie. She (13) has been joined by Taylor Breen (15), Megan Green (15), and Kylie Westerbeck (14). HWS has had a rapid rise to popularity with their talent, original music, and mature sound. HWS has been featured by Song Revelation's Artist Spotlight and in publications such as The Free Lance Star, The Front Porch, and Virginia Neighbors Magazine. IAE Magazine describes them as "Incredible" and scored them a prestigeous 3.5/4 for new/emerging national artists. Their music consistently scored in the superior range on Radio Test Market Surveys. HWS positive message bringing musical inspiration to elementary schools in Central Virginia landed them a sponsorship by WFLS Radio for what would become the "Love of Music Tour". Continuing with their mission of bringing music to children, HWS was honored by being named to the Featured Artists with Indie Community and with Empty Vessel Music's Music Matters program. The mission now expanded to helping inner city youth at risk through the power of music. Hangin with Stogie's 4th original "Better Friend Next Time" has been released as a single in Japan by White Wolf Records of Australia receiving regular play on several major radio networks.
