Bio:: Whether you know him as IllieSwitch or E.Que Soul, most know him as a dynamic multi-faceted entertainer with a burning desire to create. Born in the dark city of Gary, Indiana in the 80’s, IllieSwitch was first inspired by his hometown hero Michael Jackson to become a musical icon. He uses his talents as a singer, songwriter, rapper, and producer to captivate audiences worldwide. IllieSwitch has an electrifying stage presence and an incredible body of work that encompasses soul, pop, hip-hop, r&b, jazz, and rock in a manner that entices music lovers of all genres.
In 2011, he released his first major commercial single “What Do I Do” in mid-summer that was introduced to his new home of Chicago on the mainstream commercial radio station Power 92.3 on August 21st. The song is played on heavy rotation on numerous online radio stations and several Chicago nightclubs. He expects to drop the long awaited EP “The Box Aint Big Enough” in January 2012. This release will showcase his myriad of musical capabilities with his signature soulful sound. In addition, IllieSwitch’s song “Touched By God” has been licensed for the movie “The Return Of Joe Rich.” He has also experienced the opportunities to perform as an opening act for musical artists such as Maxwell, Joss Stone, Talib Kweli, and KRS One in the recent past.
