Bio:: Hello my name is Melissa Evaro. I’m currently working as A&R manager, Project Coordinator and an active team member with Sorave Publishing. I have been working in the music business for over 10 yrs. With all my years of experience in coordinating music projects for Sony Music, Gene Evaro Productions and Sorave Publishing, I have gained the knowledge and expertise to handle my new adventures for GNS Music Group.
The responsibilities as a project coordinator, has given me the opportunities to meet so many wonderful people in the music business and learn all the ins and outs regarding so many important areas involved in the recording process, from the many different reasons of selecting the right studios for the projects for tracking basic tracks, overdubs, tracking vocals and also key, mixing, to the final stage of mastering the songs. Depending on the direction and vibe of the music selecting and hiring the correct musicians is key for the integrity of the project. I’ve coordinated music projects from major music scenes as Los Angeles, Nashville and Miami, giving me the great advantage in diversity in personal for all different genres. Included in this awesome equation are the producers, engineers, cartage techs AFM Union, AFTRA Union and studio staff.
With all my years of experience, preparing and presenting budgets is an easy task for me. I am also a current certified licensed tax preparer from the state of Ca. Need I say more!
Publishing is a whole different beast in the industry. Sorave Publishing is where I first started in the music bizz. I love it! Another avenue in revenue! I’ve worked with many major motion film companies, indie film companies, national T.V. networks and numerous television commercials. Again a whole different cast of amazing people, behind the scenes of great music. A&R manager is a job title that I have already been groomed for. I’ve been performing these responsibilities for many years without carry the title. So I’m truly excited to have earned this position for GNS Music Group. Artist, are people who you must treat with respect, gain their respect and really learn and accept who they are. I always keep in the back of my mind if it wasn’t for the artist I wouldn’t have a job!
