Bio:
There are three types of bands: Good bands, Rubber bands, and the Josh and Pete Band. Bursting out of the west philly music scene. The Josh and Pete Band's sunny harmonies, driving rhythms and unpredictable sense of humor have gotten them an ever-expanding fan base and rave reviews.

They've shared the stage with acts such as Chiddy Bang, G. Calvin Weston, and Conversations with Enemies.

The Band's Fully Costumed Theatrical Performances have created buzz with philadelphia promoters and reviewers alike.

They are the best band in the world. (direct quote from the united nations)

So where do these nutso rock and rollers come from?:

The Josh and Pete Band mix late period British 60s pop not unlike The Zombies' 'odyssey and oracle' or The Kinks' 'village green preservation society' with a quirky American Showtune esthetic, crafting fun, energetic pop tunes.

Josh and Pete started their band in 2000 during their eighth grade lunch period. After trying out band names such as "The Narcoleptic Jumping Chameleons" and "Three Surgeons and a Priest" they settled on "The Josh and Pete Band".

Upon leaving for college they took a short break but recently reformed their band. They teamed up with their high school buddy Alon Hafri to create a full team of creative Renaissance men (and lemon, see next line for details). Now they play as a full band with Dr. Lemonade.

The band started playing for the public in the fall of 2008, garnering quick attention from the press. They have played many venues, including World Cafe Live downstairs and up, the Trocadero main stage, and the Italian market festival.

They create all of their own artwork and have cartoon characters and lunch boxes. They are currently working on their first album, to be released summer of 2011.

Their Classic Rock influences mixed with a seriously silly undertone, creates a diverse and enthusiastic sound. An eclectic musical experiment sure to inspire you to dance.
