(Washington, D.C.) – March 23, 2011 - Gifted vocalist and songwriter Marti Dorner is a singer’s singer.  Having sung background vocals for legendary artists like Larnelle Harris, Ron Kenoly, Thurlow Spurr, Babbie Mason, Sandy Patti, and The Gaither Vocal Band, Marti has paid her dues in Christian music.  Now the soprano has launched her solo career with the debut of her self-titled project, “Marti”.  A mix of Contemporary Christian and Contemporary Gospel music, the 11-track CD showcases the talented vocalist in collection of powerful worship ballads and upbeat, moving praise songs.

Marti will debut songs from the new album, a project she self-produced.  Marti wrote 10 songs on her 11-track album which delivers stunning musicality throughout.  From the urban inspirational stylings of “Endless Grace” to the solemn reverence of “Fill This Place” to the Caribbean flair of “Clap Your Hands” to the exciting praise of “Sacrifice”, Marti knows how to uplift no matter what musical style she chooses.  Her sole purpose in ministry is to give hope. The ingenuity of the album stems from Marti’s own experiences which are poured throughout this project.  “When I started the album, I truly felt honored that God would choose me to be His psalmist. It was an amazing experience.”
