When Richard got into my bar I had no idea of
who he was...and so far, I still don't have.
I casually met Richard while I was working in my bar.
He looked like an ordinary client like many others
to me, but only after some time and some beer we
started to get along, and there I found out he
preferred to live his life without material restrictions,
but above all, a musician and composer.
Well, I just loved the idea to write music in English,
and then I asked him if he could help me, as he's
from Liverpool.
He came, he delivered some words and
disappeared as he came for several months.
The he showed up one day, and the songs were
ready; to be honest it was natural to me adding
music to his beautiful lyrics.
A producer that was there in the bar while I was
playing what we created was so impressed by the
result that he wanted everything to be put on
record: that moment gave birth to the
"Nocco and The Other Side" project.
These few lines are just a taste of a more
complicate and intriguing story though:
Richard left before we decided to enter the studio,
and maybe he still doesn't know about the
existence of this CD.
This is about his story and part of his life, and
maybe the story of us all too.
Richard J. Street, where are you?
I know we'll meet one day to compose again.[less]
