Starr Jamezz was born in Decatur, Ga., a small city less than 20 miles from the capitol, Atlanta. Her 1st writing experience began when she was merely 8 years of age. In 2000, Starr began seriously recording music for the intention of live performance. However, after such positive feedback she decided it was time to drop her first album independently. Thus, the beginning of Broadz Way Entertainment in which a childhood friend donated the initial start up cost. Shortly after releasing her first underground album, "Da Kandi Ladi," she won undergrammy rap artist of the year in 2005. In 2008, she expanded Broadz Way with additional investors who also help with general operations, event planning, and promotions. In the same year, Starr with the help of Broadz Way Entertainment released a promotional cd, "151" with 3 bonus tracks. Currently, Starr is working with DJ Kidd Star of Live Wire Empire on a new project, defined as 'e-hop', due to be released summer of 2010. The much anticipated, "Big Ol Trick" will definitely serve as a catalyst into her next solo album project. She has been professionally performing in clubs for ten years and plans on globally touring, writing children books, voice-overs, and writing screenplays as apart of her short term goals. Look for Starr to lead the next generation of female hip hop artist in to a whole untapped space!
