Bio:: “You guys are everything that is great about metal music,” a shared consensus reverberated throughout Brain Dead shows, attests to the foursomes’ unstoppable drive to spread the word of metal. Based in the San Fernando Valley, the band originated as a three-piece cover band with bass (Rez), guitar (Adam Axe), and drums (Josh Angel). Fed-up with playing the same songs, they began to produce their own music, but continued to lack a singer that embodied the vocal quality of their thrash-metal demigod predecessors. Subsequent to playing local shows as an “instrumental” band, the final piece of the puzzle was completed with the addition of Joey Dalo and his enigmatic stage presence. The band’s first demo was released in January of 2011 and their unrepentant approach has emblazoned a journey for metal domination. In the words of Brain Dead, “We want to spread the word of metal and we will stop at nothing until it’s heard!”
