- Born and raised in Washington, Alex picked up her first guitar at the age of 12. Over the course of the next several years she learned what she could from whomever she could leading up her first song. After playing the song for a close friend, she was invited to join the band Eleven 69 as a singer, songwriter, and guitar player. Her opportunity to be a musician had arrived, and she ran with it. Over the next 5 years, Alex played gigs and produced albums with Eleven 69, which culminated with her writing the majority of the songs on their second album. Sometime after releasing the second album, Alex decided it was time for a change, picked up everything, and moved to Texas to strike out on her own. As all great artist do, Alex drew from the experiences of her life to find the inspiration for her first album, Starting Over. With her moving lyrics, she takes you on a journey through a part of her life. From an old love falling apart and lost, to the finding of a new love, Starting Over gives you glimpses of Alex’s life.
