- Aquilia Unique is a sultry vocalist taking the feelings attached to the many sides of the human personality and making them into diverse, well interpreted, and easily identifiable emotions. Exposure to the arts at a very young age, combined with a musically inclined household only added to the unique out-of-the-box style of writing that developed as a result of her introduction to music in different genres and formats.
Having received creative writing plaques and awards, and having a nationally published poem in the third grade proved that early on, the ability to write was present, and strengthening. Attending a school for performing arts helped Aquilia to broaden her artistic horizons even further by adding an affinity for classical and jazz music to her repertoire. From this new passion for two new genres, she began comprising her developing catalog of songs.
Bringing an industry changing style all her own, her creative approach to songwriting and ability to say the things present in our sacred thoughts and everyday lives is surely present in her lyrics. With an R&B/Pop/Hip-Hop flair, this 26 year old Cleveland born young woman creates a delicious new combination deemed “rhythm and hip-pop blues”. Her soon to be released album “Outer space” features self-written material that has club bangers like “Pour another One”, songs with relaxed blues content such as “Through”, and even a melodic neo soul flavor as in the song “Caramel/Chocolate”. With her soulful voice atop industry ready tracks, her beautiful delivery burns easily remembered hooks into the minds of her followers.
A new school methodology of taking lack-luster content and revamping it to create a “bridge between the generations” is prevalent in the thought process that Aquilia Unique goes through in order to write a song, making no two alike. Her newly released single “All Over Me” which just hit the digital sector February 1st, 2012 is sure to be a hit with her growing fan base, already anticipating the release of the full album. Independent backing from Evreeday Productions has provided the focused artist with the tools needed to make sure Aquilia Unique becomes a household name in the tongues of many nations.
