New Madrid is a flock of four musicians hailing from Chattanooga [Phil McGill, Graham Powers, Ben Hackett] and Birmingham [Alex Woolley] making music around the South East. Having recently finished their first EP, Ghosts & Fire, the quartet is looking to spread their newly crafted sonic identity through live shows that dive down into psychedelic ambience and soar back up through down home, four part harmonies. New Madrid will be going back into the studio this summer to cut their first LP. Playing both electric and acoustic music, New Madrid doesn't like to pander to sonic limitations of yesteryear. America is one long interstate.
