Brandy Lynn Confer has shown herself to be a musician to watch with Stress and the Rhythm of the Word. Her music is filled with delicate, but deliberate sound and lyrics that make you think. Working with Jason Rubal ( Amanda Palmer, Bitter Ruin) you get a sound that feels organic and as typical with artists he represents, Confer is less mainstream and more from the gut. She brings out her inner strengths and throws in a few demons as well. This album has a folk rock feel with grit and a complexity that will make you take her seriously as a lead guitarist and an artist with lyrics that take you places that are uniquely her own.
