- I picked up my first guitar Christmas Day, 1999. I remember the first song I ever learned was "Come As You Are" by Nirvana. Such a classic, heart-felt song. Both musically AND lyrically. When it comes down to my musical "influences", however, to name the top few, in order, would be: Johnny Cash, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, and Social Distortion. My style tends to be a bit more on the raw side. Just me and my acoustic. To me, in essence, that is true music. Music that is in its most natural form. Unedited. Unscathed. I guess you can say I'm trying to keep the whole Johnny Cash feel to my music. Just fun stories and easy, beautiful rhythms. Check out my stuff. If you don't enjoy it, that's just fine.
