His vocal power is incredible, and his range seems to go on forever. His sound is a unique blend of old school and contemporary gospel, wrapped up in the warmth of smooth R&B, inspirational and pop vocals. Dylan is an inspirational gospel singer who is sure to capture his audience with his dynamic performances, and spirit-filled worship sessions. His voice has all the expression you need to believe what he sings; you just know he’s been somewhere. He has an experience, something to share. Singing since the age of 5, Dylan has experienced the music industry inside and out. Born to a Christian Minister and a Psychiatric Nurse, Dylan is the second of two sons. Darius, his elder brother is front man to Trinidad based fusion band, “the Cabezon.” He immersed himself in all aspects of music buisness from, manging local singing groups, offering vocal and performing advice, and even setting up his own home recording studio. A talented singer/songwriter, Dylan has always been involved in music on some level, “It’s all got to do with being brought up on the campus of then Caribbean Union College, now University of the Southern Caribbean, music was always all around us. We didn’t have a choice,” he remembers, “we just had to go with the flow. When all your friends are turning out as musicians and singers is quite a nice feeling, and sometimes I felt a little pressured to be as good as them.” He started singing professionally at the age of 12, and he was soon touring with local gospel brother/sister duo, Ceejay and Luckey. From there he went on to join, Lovelink International Chorale, with whom he had the opportunity to share the stage with Gospel recording artistes and Grammy winners, Cece Winans, and later on Kirk Franklin. Of his upcoming release he says, “I wanted to write a song that reached everyone, no matter the style of music they listen to, I just want to touch them and let them know, that no matter what you believe in someone is always there.” His single ‘Stand (I will be There) is set to do just that. Inspired by the unfortunate events surrounding the life of Baby Peter (United Kingdom), Dylan penned a song that not only touches his life, but is sure to be an inspiration to everyone who listens.
