A veteran of the road with six BMA nominations, EG Kight continues to take her diverse musical menu to the fans in cities across America and in Europe in support of her brand new release, “Lip Service”. Kight’s career began in country music, but over the years she has broadened her musical scope to include americana, southern rock, blues, pop, gospel and jazz. In addition to headlining at various clubs, theaters, and festivals, Kight has performed with a symphony orchestra, and has appeared on NPR’s "A Prairie Home Companion“. Her 2008 release, It’s Hot In Here, went to #1 on the roots charts, and her original songs have been recorded by Koko Taylor, and Dorothy Moore, jazz artist Jaimee Paul (formerly with Wynonna) among others. One of her songs also aired on Nick at Nite. Kight has also taught songwriting workshops in Italy and Germany. Transcending musical boundaries, whether it’s a coliseum, a festival, a songwriters club, a blues cruise, or a summer afternoon at the local winery, Kight’s music fits right in. Perhaps Sing Out! magazine said it best –“Kight’s is a voice to be reckoned with, no matter the genre.”
