The band was formed on the 25th of March, 2009 by four young individuals; Jonah on guitars, Mike on bass, Rindy on drums and Jeff on vocals. Musical influences range from different styles including Rock n' Roll, Blues, Grunge, Alternative and Punk summed up together in a form of Hard Rock.
The band has participated in only two rock contests to this date viz, N.I.T Thunder March, Silchar, on April of 2009 and were 2nd runners up there. They also bagged the first prize on MICAH Challenge; a state level rock contest held in Aizawl as a media show.
Freddy's Nightmare are now among the popular local bands in Mizoram.
