The Arkitecht was born in 2005 as a solo project created by Genaro Ochoa in his home-studio with the intention of sounding like a band all by himself. After nearly two years of working on an ambitious song called Face Thief (for metal band, orchestra and choir), Genaro decided that it was time to take The Arkitecht to the next level: Produce a professional metal album. Production took over a year, between recording, mixing, artwork and manufacture. The result is seven songs which combine, each in its own way, different styles of rock, metal and progressive, and they all coexist within Hyperstructure, The Arkitecht’s first album. The album was released independently towards the end of 2008 through CD Baby, iTunes, Amazon and some retail stores in Mexico. A few months later, the project caught the attention of the metal community in Mexico, but also in Europe and Latin America, and during 2009 several musicians showed their interest in joining the project to form a band that could play the music live. In 2009, Rodrigo Uribe moved to Mexico City to formally begin rehearsals with the band. Different line ups were tested and, in 2010, César Huesca (one of the Mexican musicians with more followers in YouTube), Armando Thámez and Dante Díaz (Main singer on Hyperstrucutre) joined the band to form one of the most solid metal lineups in Mexico: The Arkitecht.
