Since 1993, gitarrist and composer Haymo Doerk, resident in Berlin/Germany, has been playing in lots of stylistically manifold bands and projects such as: Poems for Laila (Folk-Rock, Chanson), Tony Carey (Rock/Pop), Engerling (Blues/Rock, backing band of Mitch Ryder), Scirocco (Rock/Beat), UFO-Horns (Funk, Jazz, Reggae), Formwandler (Drum'nBass), Rhythm Taxi (Afro-Jazz, backing band of Jimi Tenor) and many more. He played vast numbers of concerts and took part in lots of studio productions as guitarist, arranger and composer. The Solo-Productions up to now: Haymo's solo debut "Fruits of inheritance" was recorded in 1996 and displays many of the influences arising from his various musical experiences, switching between numerous different styles and atmospheres. Besides two songs with guest singer Nikolai Tomas (Poems for Laila), all tracks are instrumental. Other guests are trumpet player Paul Brody and Engerling's bass player Manne Pokrandt who also produced the CD. Several of Haymo's compositions were presented on the 2002 published "Passion" (Label TOENE, www.studio1058.de), a live recorded acoustic guitar duo album of Haymo Doerk and the classical guitar virtuoso Christian Sabot. It took almost 9 years until the second solo album "Shadows of the past" (Label TOENE) was released, this time played and produced by the artist completely on his own. It encloses 12 instrumental songs, again switching between all sorts of styles like Rock, Jazz, Funk, Reggae, Drum'nBass etc., and was released 2005. The third and latest solo CD "Moving Circles" was released on Tunesday Records (www.tunesdayrecords.de) in spring 2009 and presents atmospheric sounds, relaxed grooves and catchy hooklines, mixed with a playful lounge-jazzy touch.
