Gravel Switch is a 4 piece band hailing from Jamestown, KY. The band was formed in 2004 by former front man Matt Moore, and current guitarist Josh Pierce along with Brandon Brockman on drums and Matt Hammer on bass. In 2007, drummer Brockman & bassist Hammer were replaced with current bassist David Chapman and new drummer Jason Jones. Gravel Switch continue forward competing in local and district competitions and touring the club scene and recording their first CD, What You Make Of Me. In 2009, drummer Jason Jones bowed out from the project for personal reasons, and the fact that he lived in Nashville and could no longer make the, more than 150 mile drive, to practice. So in March of 2009, Gravel Switch was given the name of a nearby drummer named Charlie Payne who auditioned for the band and made the cut. The band practiced, and the result was their first show together with the new line-up, less than 2 weeks later. The show went well, so they continued touring the club scene and doing radio interviews at several of the regional radio stations. In late March of 2009, they traveled to Georgia to record new single Movin’ On. August of 2009 seen more changes to the lineup as singer Matt Moore stepped down from the group, to spend more time focusing on family. A phone call was made to a close friend of the band who just happened to be a red hot singer named Seth Wade. Seth & Josh had performed several acoustic shows together in a project named “60 Cycle Hum” and Seth seemed to fit the style Gravel Switch was looking for. After 4 good practices, Seth was ready and Gravel Switch was ready to hit the scene strong and hard again. In October, they returned to Pendlwood Studios in Atlanta to finish up the new No Regrets EP. Almost 1 year later their Drummer moved to chicago and was replaced by the current drummer now, Johnny Hodge! GS is a band that has endured the hardships that most bands endure and still rockin the scene hard and putting on the ultimate stage show
