- James Kennedy has been a force in "indie" music for many years, performing blues, jazz, world, and more... During that time, he and his groups have toured regionally, nationally, and internationally playing venues of all sizes - delighting audiences of all ages and receiving praise from reviewers around the globe. The group's long list of credentials attests to the fact that this group of seasoned professionals combines their passion and touches each listener with the power of music.
"How We Are" is Kennedy's 28th CD release. It was recorded "live" in studio in April of 2018 and released in September of the same year. The disc contains jazz, blues, world music, roots, even some classic rock. As with most of his live performances and previous releases, this album is an eclectic mix of styles and moods, designed to include a little "something for everyone"
Kennedy's 29th release "JK's Blue Thang" is a "best of the blues" culled from his recorded catalog of over 400 pieces (songs) featuring everything from traditional blues to blues rock, even some 12-string “slide” blues.
