- P.U.R.P. was born Jeremy McCullum on October 2, 1987 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Music and poetry has been part of his life and something that helped to ease his mind since the early age of 8 years old. What started out as just writing poetry to relieve frustration and express the feeling of growing up in a single parent home turned into music. "When I write a song I'm inviting people to see the world as I have or still am seeing it through my eyes, when you hear my music I aim to paint a picture and thats why i consider myself an artist" P.U.R.P. P.U.R.P. has been rapping and giving his heart to his music since 06 and hasn't looked back or wished he could do it different. He's opened up shows for major artists like Plies, DJ Unk, Choppa, Hurricane Chris, Cupid, Hot Boy Ronald, and Mr. Biggs. In 2009 he was featured in Real Talk magazine as an up and coming artist for his release of Thoughts Of Greatness Vol. 1 The Crowning. "The world is what you make it and I'm making the most with what I got" P.U.R.P.
