I Started out rapping and making hip-hop music early. It was like a natural talent, some people were born with the ability to do a specific thing... its like I was born to rap. When I started out I was just doing it for fun playing around with the mix-craft on the computer and a few sound click beats. Swag was the word then everybody had swag, my rap name was yung swag. Then I matured over the next 2 or 3 years and I said maybe I should get serious about rapping. I officially establish my name as Jay Flamez. I was inspired now more then ever to start actually trying to get my music out and try my hardest to become an artist. Now I have developed a relentless work ethic. After releasing my first official tape this January after a lot of preparation last year. I have released two more mix tapes (Good Enuff And I Am The Villain). Now I am trying to promote more and spread the work about my musical abilities. I grew up in Smithfield, Va, I started to rap because it was fun and my brothers rapped so to spend more time with my older brothers who ran the streets a lot I just started to say “hey look I wrote a song”. My friends and family always respond with “You have what it takes to make it just keep at it. You can do it”. I created a group named Fly-Nation, I am currently working on releasing our group mix tape and promoting for that. I started the group with a vision of us just being friends who love to create music together. At this point in my career I’m just looking towards meeting more people. Doing promo shows, interviews, and just moving forward as an artist in my career. I know that HARDWORK can make all my dreams possible.
