Though his sound leans to the pop side of folk, he claims inspiration from artist such as Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, and more recently, Ray Lamontagne. He has gained an online following over the past year since writing and recording his most recent set of songs on a handheld recorder in his Milford, NH home. Having played all over southern New Hampshire, he has recently entered the Boston and Portland singer/songwriter scenes, and with his full length studio debut in the works, Joe Young is an artist to watch
