Derived from Madison Heights, Michigan, Define Our Fate has been writing and performing music since the winter of 2008. Combining technical, melodic riffs with hit-the-floor breakdowns and topped with positive, inspiring vocals; they have enough variety that anyone who has a passion for metal can appreciate. Metalcore is the closest genre that describes the type of music Define Our Fate creates and they continuously strive to improve upon their music. Define Our Fate has put together a solid set of songs and continues to perform shows all over Michigan. They released a one track demo of a song called "So Much Left to Live For" that was recorded and produced by Kevin Sharpe at Metro 37 Studios. On May 1st, 2011, the band released another song called "Veronica: The Truth" that was produced by Mick of Zoinga Recording. The band played a show at Simons After Dark on May 5th, 2011 as part of the Exposed Music Festival hosted by Jennifer J. Arroyo. Define Our Fate have played a few national shows as well, opening for bands such as Mushroomhead. The founding members of Define Our Fate are Alex Spano, Matthew Hernandez, and Sean Hernandez and they just recently recruited guitarist Phil Litwin. Alex's powerful screams and engaging singing, Matt's solid and energetic drumming, Sean's technical and melodic riffs, and Phil's consistent and moving rhythm – all make up what Define Our Fate is. Recently, Alex Spano has stepped down from playing bass and has become the full-time vocalist; they are currently searching for another bassist. Overall, Define Our Fate has many goals and accomplishments in their history and they continue to improve and grow as a band.
