- Bursting on to the scene with razor sharp guitars, infectious melodies and low-slung bass, LickSpittle are a British band rippling with energy and an unclassifiable fresh sound. Formed by Kid Kudos and Jimmy Suds ten years after a chance first meeting, a shared love of Hallowe’en, 90s grunge and quirky electronica meant most were expecting something a little ‘different’ when LickSpittle was announced early this year. What emerged was surprisingly accessible, punchy and lean – a pared-down, stripped-out, laidback sound that lets the groove carry the track. A carry it most certainly does; LickSpittle have already built a cult following and quickly turned the heads of those looking for something a little different. The touch paper has been lit and the ride starts here. Nobody quite knows where it might end up.
