Michael Worthington began his musical career at the age of 6, with his fist drum kit and a newfound passion for creating music. Day after day, he would play along to the likes of Molly Hatchet and The Eagles on his coffee cans and oatmeal tubes. In junior high, he took up the trumpet because he found himself in a sea of drummers and was asked to make the switch. In 1993, Michael heard Dave Matthews for the first time. Amazed by the sound, he began to teach himself to play what he heard on a 70s Yamaha acoustic guitar that was given to him by his Aunt. He spent most of his time playing until his fingers were numb while still making time for his percussion and studio jobs. He felt a freedom he had never encountered before when he played. It was then that he began to write. Realizing that the guitar would be the medium for his words, Michael completed his first song, “Now” in 1996 with many more to follow. In 2004, Michael met Doug Furia while involved in a different project. They began to collaborate on some of Michael's songs while eventually, 10PM was born. They created their own unique sound and continue to write together. These days, Michael has over 40+ songs to his credit and continues to write and create music that he hopes will touch the soul.
