Bio:
Fractal Cat is a Baltimore band formed by singer/songwriter/guitarist Miles Gannett. They have described their sound as “hyperspace pop,” and “bliss rock.” Current members include Gannett, guitarist Keith Jones, drummer Jason Baker, bassist Andy Myatt, and harpist/keyboardist Meghan Gwyer. On stage, and in the studio, the Fractals weave a texturally rich sonic tapestry of vocal harmonies, guitars, pulsating rhythms, melodic bass, keys, harps, horns, birds, and field recordings. The sound evokes the psychedelic pop music of the late sixties, but also shows the influences of modern electronica, ambient, and classical music.
