In 1997 SB began as an improvisational collaboration of musicians. Depending on the task set by the group, the cast changed. Sometimes the group consisted of 2 persons, sometimes it looked like a small orchestra. But the first performances and recordings were always a spontaneous improvisation and combination of acoustic and electronic sound. By 2003 SB gradually came to the idea of an optimal cast and started to find their own style. SB formed itself into a sort of ensemble, a quartet created by the people whose aim was to create a distinct musical message during each new recording or performance. In 2004-2006 volumes of music were recorded. One of the albums (SKY DUB) consists of almost 5 hours of music material. The music of this period is an attempt of a study of the modern sound thru the prism of music history. But in all works by SB the idea of a music message is dominant which gives the opportunity to feel in the music the basis for the understanding of sound and to separate it from the current modern trends which quickly get obsolete because they often depend exclusively upon the development of programming and software. By 2008 SB came to the optimal form of the ensemble (trio) and way of sounding (electro-acoustic) which gave the opportunity to concentrate entirely on the creation of musical environment where experiment and creative search were no longer an aim. SB are now interested in musical compositions. Experiments in sounds made for the sake of pure experiment usually lead their creators beyond controllable musical environment, and the listener does not realise the difference between the musician and himself. The musician turns into an experimentator against his own will. SB step by step destroy the myth about themselves as sound terrorists which was created during the previous years of their music activity. May 7th, 2008
