Bio:: A hip hop veteran to the fullest extent of the word, Pre Daily’s name is synonymous with the Bronx, NY underground hip hop scene. Born in the birthplace of hip hop, the Bronx River neighborhood, Pre began her career highly influenced by the underground music scene her father, who was a jazz musician & owned a few local bars throughout the borough. She grew fond of riding in the car with her dad with the radio tuned into the jazz station & she grew to love the Thursday night live jam sessions at her dad’s ‘Pepper and Salt Café’

Her career began in 1988, in her teen years. A group of friends got involved in the music biz & asked her to join them as their DJ. However, Pre had no desire to be a DJ. She was eventually worked into the forefront when one of the friends ghostwrote what would be her first song. She then fell in love with the mic life & yearned for more. She adapted the name Pre-Sweets (which also paid homage to a local graffiti artist) & started writing her own material & developing a style of her own. She would gain underground notoriety & landed ventures on a few prominent indie & major labels such as Zakia/4th & Broadway Records (which was home to Eric B & Rakim) , B-Boy Records(early home to KRS One & Boogie Down Productions), & Keyboard Records, which would release her breakout single “I’m In Effect” (which was mentioned in “The Source’s” ‘Fat Tapes’ section in 1989)

Pre has endured trials & tribulations over her years in the business. There have been times when she felt her hard work was being overlooked & it let to her walking away from what she loved to do. But her drive & the love & support of her boyfriend kept her head in the right direction. Pre added more titles to her resume, becoming a songwriter, producer, audio engineer & even started designing t-shirts & sneakers. Pre also started mentoring younger artist & teaching them how to write, perform & present themselves as well rounded artist. She repackaged herself as Pre Daily (because she has been told she creates hot beats on a daily basis) & put together her own team, ‘The Eff Troop’.

Pre Daily has created a great buzz for herself, performing at nearly every major hip hop showcase & lounge in NYC, appearing on numerous projects & mixtapes, becoming a familiar face on New York City access television & the internet (including the notorious “Ron Alexander Show”) & even performing at the world famous “Apollo Theatre” . It became impossible to be a hip hop fan in New York and not know who she was.

Now in 2011, as an experienced vet & New York City underground legend, Pre has landed on her new home label “Bomb Baby Unlimited” & is set to release her long awaited, full length album “Loose Cannon”. Pre Daily continues to be a serious impact player in the hip hop scene & for those that have yet to hear of her, you are in for a real treat.
