"I was born with a passion for music and songwriting is in my blood. My entire family writes, sings plays guitar..so I was surrounded by it and always used lyrics and poetry as a way to express my feelings." Rebekah Phillips Spencer has been writing since the age of 15. She self released her album "Addiction of the Day" in 2008 and has had the opportunity to open up for major acts such as The Back Street Boys,Paula Deanda and Kat Deluna. The title track of the album was named "track of the day" on Garage Band twice and the songs have won numerous awards. She is very flexible in her genre and can write anything from hip hop to country. She has done writing for other artists as well, the song "Higher" and "Boy"was written for a sister trio "Casting Shadows" Rebekah also wrote the inspirational theme song "Look at me Now" for the Middlesex Ct chapter of The United Way and received a telle award for "best music" in 2008. In 2009 she signed on with Independent label ZW records with whom she recorded her second album, "We've Got Issues" She parted ways with the label in 2011 and is continuing to write and pursue her music.
