For over 14 years, Shaun Anderson has been a dedicated musician exploring various sounds and themes that reflect his life experiences as a young Metis. He grew up on the Fishing Lake Metis Settlement, an small northern Albertan community, to the sound of his father's fiddle. Being surrounded by musicians, Shaun decided to pick up a guitar, which shortly became his vessel to charter the rocky waters of life in a northern community. Shaun began playing guitar and bass for local bands in the area. This gave him incredible experience with touring and media exposure (he played a live show on the "A Channel" with a band known as "Filosofy"). However, the more he played, the more he desired to learn the fundamentals of music production and the music industry. This desire pushed him to make the move of a lifetime. In February 2007, he decided to move east in hopes of furthering his career; leaving his family, community and the sense of familiarity. A few months later, this would prove to be a life changing choice; Shaun got accepted to one of the top recording schools in Canada; Recording Arts Canada. Over the last year, Shaun has been experimenting with different sounds and techniques. With the new technical skills of audio engineering and the advice of talented artist from around the world, Shaun's music began to evolve and Shaun's creative expression began to take new shape. Over the years, Shaun has been inspired by various artists such as Tool, System of a Down, Bob Dylan, Tori Amos and City and Color to merely name a few. His music hopes to delve into the depths of peoples' souls and play with their heart strings;to evoke emotions, and cause their spirits to move to and challenge the world. He uses music as a tool for connecting with others on a spiritual and emotional level. Shaun has since moved back to his roots back to Northern Alberta to get Inspiration from the landscapes he grew up on, connecting with his spirituality.
