Born in Cardiff, Wales, where he lived until the end of 2004 when he relocated to Tenerife, Steve Andrews is a singer-songwriter more commonly known as the Bard of Ely. He was given this title by Big Issue magazine in which he had a column and when he was living in the Ely estate. He has appeared as a performer at Glastonbury Festival on several occasions and was an MC there in 2002 and 2003 for the Avalon Stage. Bard of Ely was a compère and performer at the Green Man Festival in 2003 too. He had two of his songs on the Taffia EP on Crai Records in 2002 and has since then had two albums released by DMMG Records - Welsh Wizard and Dive in Deep. Under his real name he is the author of Herbs of the Northern Shaman, published by O-Books.
