Rapper/Afro-pop/EDM artist Funkid formerly known as Tfkay, birth name Taophyc olayiwola Sulaimon, was born in Lagos, Nigeria. Although he did not come from a musical family,he started music at the age of 13,and he was so inspired by Wizkid,the most decorated African artist internationally, and one of the most revolutionary Afro-pop artists of the modern era, that he vowed to become an artist himself.
Funkid recorded his first single “All I Do” in 2009, and has been steadily building a catalog since. At this time he has 5 singles on general release.
FunKid has performed in many venues in his home state but has yet to perform internationally.
His latest single “M oving On”, featuring Jamaican reggae artist K ingly T, is receiving international recognition and is available on all leading download and streaming platforms.
Funkid’s greatest wish is to make the world a better place through music,This talented artist is one to watch and I’m sure his wish will come true.
