Hi, I'm Bobby Joe Gentry. I was born Sept 30, in Little Rock Arkansas, to Bobby Joe and Brenda Lee Gibbs. My family has always been involved in music. I am a singer and song writer. I have been told that my music has a unique sound, a blend of the old and the new. Country and Gospel music has always been a major influence in my life. The artists that have influenced me the most are Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard and my grandpa Pete (Buck) Mitchell. I have been involved in the music industry since 1998. I wrote and recorded my first song Westbound Chicken Hauler in 1999. It was sent to 37 foreign countries and hit number 2 for six weeks in 2000. Westbound Chicken Hauler was one of the top 100 songs played that year on the Independent charts. I am getting ready to go back into the studio to record some new songs that I have written. Besides my family, country music is my heart and soul. Being a song writer gives me the opportunity to express my feelings. I have had the pleasure of singing in many different states in this great country of ours including Nashville TN, and Branson MO. I am eager to get back into the recording studio. It's been way too long. I look forward to hearing from each and everyone of you. Your friend, Bobby Joe Gentry
