- Born January 30th 1990, This southern rapper named kalente deshawn Christy (also known as) Southern bred, grew up in a small town named Gifford located at the bottom of the panhandle of the state of florida. Music has always been an influence to him, but due to low income it was not considered as one of his goals, until the age of 10 after moving to Richmond, Virginia where he then started writing and rehearsing more and more everyday. Filled with alot of talent such as fashion designing, poetry, and sports, music seemed to stand out and catch more of his attention. By the age of 11, His whole life began to change due to his fathers death. His style began to change, his lyrics overflowed with pain and heartache, sounding even more demanding and interesting to listen to. By the age of 13 he then moved to Vero beach, Florida. picking up a deadly southern swagger that now supports his music. Kalente Attended Vero Beach High School, where he began attending music courses and audio production classes through the whole 10th grade semester. Inspired by artists such as Tupac Shakur, KRS One, Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube, kalente has and shows an enormous amount of effort, dedication and motivation into his music career. By the age of 17, he moved out of his grandmothers household and began engaging himself in illegal activities which later was a result of him serving 8 months in a moderate risk boys camp, and 11 months in a high risk juvenile prison. Once released on september 24th 2008, Kalente began promoting and producing his own music. Which makes him the successful artist he is today.
