Biography

"Geena b. & her Valentines" born by marriage between Geena b. and Tom-Waits-Tribute-Band "Blue Valentines". After several years of activity, where you could see more and more often the collaboration between the two musical realities, in 2009 was born the idea of creating an album of songs together. And thus in just over six months was established the 1st album "songs from next door" which sees them engaged with friends to create a sound that sweeps around blues and folk, rock and local traditional music.  And while the music and words come from the pair "Geena b." and guitarist/pianist "a. Rufus" the arrangement of the songs is entrusted to Valentines. Is finally a collective mix of ideas and visions of instrumentalists, Zeno g. on clarinet, saxophone and percussion, MaxMax on bass/double bass and Kriben on drums and percussion to give the atmosphere to the tunes that during a few days from first draft to final arrangement have had to endure a veritable metamorphosis.

Geena b. is releasing a song for a international humanitarian organisation to safeguard the rights of Burma people called "Karen". You can find more at "www.helfenohnegrenzen.org"
