Bio:
Hello! I'm Lisa Sniderman, an ward-winning singer-songwriter, artist, author, filmmaker and playwright aka: Aoede. I create quirky folk pop, and songs about longing, life, love, relationships, as well as full-length fantasy musicals on audiobooks. I've been honored with more than 80 awards for my songwriting, audiobooks films, books and stage plays since 2012! Highlights include: Independent Music Awards Vox Pop Winner 2014; International Songwriting Competition 2013, 2012 Winner, and John Lennon Songwriting Contest 2013, 2012 Finalist. I'm also privileged to have received multiple Indie Music Channel Awards (Winner) 2012, 2013, 2014, 2018.

Living with a chronic illness for more than 12 years, I create, record, and share my original musicals, art and music as a healing path and to give back, and seek to use my gifts and experience to be a light and a muse. Music and art are my lifelines; I just cannot stop creating. I published my memoir: “A Light in the Darkness: Transcending Chronic Illness through the Power of Art and Attitude” (Crimson Cloak Publishing, Sep 2018), chronicling ten years living with rare chronic illness while obsessively creating to heal. I collaborated with more than 50 artists around the world also creating to heal and produced an online video showcase featuring conversations with 45 artists and a live/webcast event (Dec 2018), and am creating a virtual summit to help others with chronic illness thrive.

"Keep Shining" Recording
Before the closing of my live show in December 2018, performers came together as a group and sang a new song I wrote for the event-“Keep Shining”-an expressive anthem inspired by artists' stories, and a vital reminder to never give up. While I voiced my inner fears, doubts, questions and insecurities, our live performers kept repeating the chorus to "Keep Shining" as a powerful, uplifting counterpoint. I collaborated with our ‘lights in the darkness’ community, where more than 20 artists contributed their voices. The video is inspired by my story and transformations struggling with rare chronic illness, disability and recovery.
