About Waking Ugly:

Waking Ugly is a pop/rock band originally hailing from Melbourne, Australia, fronted by co-writers Lydia Gardner and Darren Pace.
Pace spent many years honing his craft playing bass and guitar in original and cover bands all over Australia, most notably, as the support act for Status Quo at Rod Laver Arena and the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
Meanwhile, Gardner cut her teeth in musical theatre, becoming what is known in the industry as a “triple threat”, where she played lead roles in ‘Shout!’, ‘Urinetown’ and ‘Stepping Out’, as well as joining the ensemble in many other shows.
Gardner’s vocals, described as “sugar-sweet but with enough strength to carry a bus load of school children” (Beat Magazine, 2010) and guitarist Pace’s “keen ear for a hook” (Fireworks Magazine, 2014) have resulted in comparisons to artists such as P!nk, Roxette, Blondie, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift.
The dynamic duo have won several international awards and played at live music venues in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Cairns, where they now reside.
Their recently released album 'You Know You Wanna', features the hit titular track along with other radio favourites including 'Must Be Love' and 'Zombies'.
