Bio:

Marcus Leary has the rare ability to take lemons and make lemonade. He was born in Los Angeles California and adopted at the age of three by a loving Christian family. He grew up in the small farming town of Arvin, CA. Marcus developed a love for country music at a young age. He sang gospel songs in church and he developed a country/gospel sound that hints at his black heritage and shouts Bakersfield Country Cool! Marcus moved to Texas for his career and began performing in the opry houses around Dallas, including the Grapevine Opry. Marcus believes he has been blessed to be around some great songwriters with incredible talent. Being a black country artist has its challenges, but his belief in God keeps him going in the right direction. He believes the fans and the opportunities are more diverse today than ever. Marcus is married, and his wife and daughter helps to keep him on the right track as they support him 100%.
