Well known for his outstanding vocals and guitar Ron has been an accomplished jazz, bluegrass, and folk, musician, songwriter,and recording enthusiast for over 40 years. Ron also plays piano, mandolin and banjo. Born in Missouri, Ron lived most of his years in southern California . He cut his teeth on jazz from such greats Wes Montgomery, Lee Ritenour and Earl Klugh. Bluegrass came from his roots in the woods of the Ozarks listening to greats such as Bill Monroe, Jimmy Martin, Ralph Stanley. Don Reno, and Red Smiley. Ron started performing as a soloist folk singer at 15. Playing in the coffee houses and restaurants up and down the coast of California where he developed a large following. As an outstanding finger style guitar artist, he performed his original tunes, classical, James Taylor, Gordon Lightfoot, Kenny Rankin, Paul Simon, Pierre Bensusan, Earl Klugh and many others. Ron continues to perform in southern California. In 2007, at the request of his fans, Ron cut an all originals jazz CD called Fireflies (available at CD Baby and numerous music distribution sites) which became quite popular). His original jazz compositions have been purchased all over the world. While mainly a solo artist, Ron has played and sat in with many bands in various music genres from Kansas City, Missouri, to southern California.
