Sons of Malarkey are a 7 piece Irish folk/rock band hailing from the Portland, OR area. They began as a duo playing Irish songs, later becoming a full fledged menagerie of musical shenanigans. Never taking their endeavor too seriously, they have become a cohesive group playing pubs and festivals throughout the Northwest. They enjoy playing traditional songs and catchy originals. The core of the band includes whistle, mandolin, fiddle, guitar, accordion, bass, drums and seasoned with banjo and bodhran.
On Oct 20, 2011 they released their first full length self titled album containing 13 songs of Irish, Scottish and Canadian descent. Included are roaring fiddle tunes, classic traditionals and striking originals.
