Hailing from Columbia Pennsylvania, Dream Device is a five man original hard rock band that is only beginning to touch the surface of their potential for rock stardom. In the past months, they have begun to create a long-deserved buzz in the Central and Eastern Pennsylvania regions. Hard driving riffs, intelligent lyrics, and unique stage antics only begin to describe this totally innovative alternative hard rock act. The band is fronted by the always interactive and highly entertaining Dave Trageser. While Dave’s powerful vocals are the lyrical highlight of the band’s show, he is joined by four other rock steady musicians, guitarist Adam Grieger, guitarist Kem Hess, Bass player Shaun Hinks, and drummer Nick Mills, all of whom bring total continuity to the show and provide the killer rhythm section and melodic hard driving guitar riffs to Trageser’s red hot killer vocals. Performing high profile shows in the region, the band has supported many national acts over the past year and continues to perform regularly in their region to the delight of their growing fan base. They are expanding their presence to other regions of the country and their hope is to be on the national map soon. The Dream device live show goes way beyond the ordinary, and the turn-out at the band’s shows never fails to delight venue owners and promoters; not to mention their screaming fans. When asked to categorize their sound in a particular “Sounds Like” category, each band member hesitates to do so stating that they would rather leave that up to the audiences, and prefer to put themselves in a category of their own. When pressed for an answer the band states they have been told by their fans that their unique sound may have a semblance to acts such as Staind, Fuel, and other similar alternative rock bands. Dream Device released their self titled EP in November of 2010 and the record has received very good reviews. They are currently in the studio recording a new single with ™Grammy nominated engineer and producer David Ivory (Halestorm/Atlantic, Silvertide/Sony, The Roots). The new single is earmarked to hit the streets sometime in the summer of 2011. Citing that they will let nothing stand in their way to the top, the band has recently engaged professional industry assistance to further enhance their image and brand and to promote the Dream Device project. National publicity and marketing consultant Ken Cavalier of Allure Media Entertainment Group, Inc. has been brought in to help accelerate the project to the next level. They were also recently signed to a non-exclusive record and publishing deal with Canadian American Records, a company owned by famed musician and record industry executive Joey Welz (Former Pianist Bill Halley and the Comets). One thing is for certain, Dream Device is no Flash-In-The Pan. You can rest assured that they are coming at you and you’ll be hearing quite a bit more from this hard driving rock quintet. Their tenacity, hunger, and persistence to make it to the top is unsurpassed at every level. The self titled EP is available at CD Baby and iTunes for digital download.
